ABOUT THE
Program
The purposes of the Business Management Program are:
-
To train citizens committed to social development, from the perspective of strengthening human capital as a reference to support relationships, professional values and the improvement of the quality of life of the communities.

To promote the training of highly qualified professionals who drive business intelligence and the transformation of companies, based on ethical, autonomous and supportive management.

Contribute to an entrepreneurial culture based on creativity, research, innovation, competitiveness and the creative use of information and communication technologies as the basis for the creation of new productive enterprises.

Promote the commitment of professionals to business development, with an awareness of sustainable development, as well as care for the environment and natural resources.

Taking into account the Agreement of the Academic Council No. 223 of 2014 that establishes the admission criteria for the distance and virtual undergraduate academic programs of the Universidad Industrial de Santander and particularly its article 3° by which it is informed that to define admission, only academic merit will be taken into account, measured by the scores obtained by the applicant in the State Exam, the academic characteristics that an applicant to the program must have are defined based on the competencies evaluated in the Saber 11 Exam.

At the end of the Business Management program, the alumni will be able to:
- To conduct studies to identify and take advantage of entrepreneurial opportunities based on the analysis of the business context and production chains.
- To manage strategically organizations as an interrelated system of processes.
- To create a company from the validation of a venture formulated by him or by others.
- To manage business models in new or existing companies based on their interrelation with production chains.
- To manage intervention projects for business optimization and innovation.
- To manage investment and financial processes in new or existing companies.
- To carry out management characterized by excellence, innovation, anticipation, quality, sustainability, competitiveness and incorporation of technologies.
To formulate and execute research projects on business practices aimed at enriching and contributing to the existing knowledge in the business field.

This module is aimed at the students of the program and its purpose is to facilitate the process of submitting documents, endorsements and evaluations of the degree projects.
It is a site where different entrepreneurship events are published and is used by students to upload slides and videos explaining their business cards (or ideas).
