Program

The undergraduate degree in History and Archives  of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) trains citizens as integral professionals, with high competencies for research in the fields of history, social sciences, humanities, archives, and cultural heritage. Its graduates can also work in areas related to teaching, historical memory, documentary, cultural, and heritage management, as well as in advising and consulting projects consistent with their area of knowledge in public or private institutions.

The program promotes historical knowledge with a view to strengthening a democratic, participatory, deliberative, and pluralistic society, committed to justice, social equity, environmental preservation, and good living.

The graduates from the History and Archives program at UIS have high research skills in the fields of history, social sciences, humanities, archival science, and cultural heritage. Due to their comprehensive training, they can work in the fields of teaching, historical memory, documentary, cultural, and heritage management, as well as in the assessment and consultancy projects in line with their area of knowledge in public or private institutions.
