ABOUT THE
Program
The Construction Engineering program lasts for eight (8) semesters, each composed of academic activities integrating the following knowledge areas: Basic Sciences, Basic Engineering Sciences, Applied Engineering, and complementary subjects. These areas are developed through competency-based training encompassing cognitive, procedural, and attitudinal skills.
The program focuses on comprehensive management in the execution of construction projects to ensure suitability, efficiency, and quality of resources used in construction processes. It also emphasizes managing associated risks, implementing technological tools, and promoting sustainability in economic, social, and environmental dimensions.

Prospective students applying to the Construction Engineering program should have training, skills, and abilities in critical reading and writing. They should possess mathematical and spatial knowledge, be autonomous, responsible, and ethical citizens, and have proficiency in information and communication technologies, research, and innovation. Additionally, they should demonstrate efficient time management skills, teamwork abilities, and enjoyment of fieldwork and open spaces. These competencies enable them to understand and participate in the lifecycle and development of construction processes, buildings, and infrastructure projects.
To demonstrate these qualifications, the university considers the competencies achieved by applicants in the State Exam Saber 11° administered by the Ministry of National Education. These competencies serve as a requirement for admission to the program.

A Construction Engineering graduate is a well-rounded individual with cognitive, social skills, and personal realms. They will possess strong disciplinary competencies and emotional intelligence, enabling them to excel in ethics in their field and fulfill their responsibilities to society.
They will have the capability to construct, manage, supervise, operate, and maintain buildings and infrastructure projects. They will be prepared to work in various sectors of the construction industry, academic institutions, public organizations, and engage in research and entrepreneurial projects.
