ABOUT THE Program

Undergraduate Program Articulated with the Professional Program in Cultural and Creative Business Administrations

The Technology in Cultural and Creative Management program aims to train professionals capable of leading and sustaining cultural and creative organizations and ventures. It provides theoretical and practical tools in business management, projects, economics, marketing, strategic planning, and sector-specific legislation, while fostering leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. It also promotes research applied to cultural management, recognition of heritage, and the development of the creative economy.

In addition, the program promotes connections with the external sector through strategic partnerships and joint projects, ensuring that students apply their knowledge in real-world settings and strengthen their ties with the professional environment.

Applicants to the Technology in Cultural and Creative Management program must meet the requirements and complete the admission procedures established for entry into higher education by the Ministry of National Education and Universidad Industrial de Santander. The Technology in Cultural and Creative Management program seeks to attract students with aptitudes and skills related to business administration and management in the cultural and creative sectors.

Applicants should have:

  • An interest in and passion for culture and creativity, as well as enthusiasm for art, culture, heritage, and creativity in all their forms. Applicants should be motivated to work in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
  • The ability to analyze complex situations, identify challenges, and propose innovative solutions. Applicants should demonstrate logical reasoning, decision-making, and adaptability in response to changes and uncertainties in their environment.
  • An interest in generating new ideas, thinking outside the box, and finding creative solutions to business challenges in the cultural and creative sectors.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to take calculated risks.

Graduates of the Technology in Cultural and Creative Management program are well-rounded, ethical citizens with political awareness and an innovative mindset who generate new knowledge through the coordination and promotion of culture, art, and heritage.

Graduates are trained in organizational operations, enabling them to work collaboratively on projects and address them from different disciplinary perspectives, both individually and as part of a team. They are also familiar with current trends, technological advances, and emerging practices in the cultural and creative sectors.

Graduates of the Technology in Cultural and Creative Management program implement profitable and sustainable business models for the creative economy; coordinate processes within organizations and entities in the cultural and creative economy by applying criteria of productivity, competitiveness, and sustainability; foster collaboration among stakeholders in processes aimed at generating new knowledge and development to create innovative products; and disseminate, promote, and market high-value-added creative products.

The learning outcomes of the Technology in Cultural and Creative Management program are designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively manage organizations and projects in the cultural and creative sectors.

These learning outcomes will enable graduates to address the challenges of the sector and contribute to its development and growth.

  1. Comprehensively identify organizational situations and issues within the cultural and creative economies, with a focus on assessing the expressive value of the sector’s products and services and preserving cultural heritage.
  2. Implement strategies based on new knowledge that connect the organization’s administrative, cultural, and creative processes with audiences through products with high expressive value and economic recognition in the market, taking into account the political, economic, legal, and social context at the regional, national, and global levels, in order to promote artistic products and enhance the sector’s competitiveness.
  3. Identify audiences within the cultural and creative economies and understand their behavior in order to obtain reliable and timely information about the environment to support organizational management.
  4. Manage the technical, logistical, administrative, and financial resources of cultural projects.
  5. Acquire and apply new knowledge arising from changes and developments in the management of cultural and creative projects.
